Overview

In an effort to improve traffic flow and safety at the intersection of state Route 39 (SR-39) and Main Street (100 South) in Huntsville, we have built a new roundabout.

The new roundabout features a free right-turn (no stop required) for northbound SR-39 traffic to eastbound SR-39 towards Monte Cristo. Also, a little larger roundabout design than is typical was built to accommodate larger recreational traffic and trailers that travel frequently through the area.

The project makes history as the first roundabout built on a state road by UDOT’s Region One, which includes the six counties north of Salt Lake City.

June 2026

*Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions, equipment/supply issues and other unforeseen circumstances.

  • Crews have returned to complete final right-of-way fencing, lighting, roadway striping, concrete work and chip seal. During this work, drivers should expect intermittent lane and shoulder closures, flagging operations and minor travel delays on weekdays. No lane restrictions are planned Friday afternoon through Sunday. Restrictions for wide loads are not anticipated. Project completion is expected by the end of June.
