Overview
Study Overview
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will reconstruct and widen the section of SR-39 (1200 South) between Weber River and 4700 West in Ogden and Marriott-Slaterville in Weber County. This project will increase the shoulder width and add a center median.
Construction is expected to begin in fall 2026. Nearby residents can expect an increase in dust, noise and vibration during work hours.
The project will address future traffic needs and improve operational and safety conditions in Ogden and Marriott-Slaterville by:
- Reducing congestion on SR-39 between State Route 126 (SR-126) and 4700 West
- Reducing congestion and improving access to Interstate 15 (I-15) during peak traffic times
- Improving operational and safety conditions for travelers by adding turn lanes and space for temporary uses such as broken down vehicles and
emergency services - Accommodating active transportation
