Project Overview

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is scheduled to construct a shared-use path on the west side of 700 East (State Route 71) between Parley’s Trail and 1300 South in Salt Lake City. The shared-use path will establish an important regional trail connection and enhance safety in the area for pedestrians and cyclists. The project is currently in the design phase, with construction anticipated in spring/summer 2024.

Project improvements include:

  • Shared-use path on the west side of 700 E. connecting Parley’s Trail (S-Line Trail on 2100 S. to Liberty Park.

  • Upgrades to pedestrian ramps on the west side of 700 E.

  • Shortened pedestrian crossings at minor intersections.
