BLUFF STREET PEDESTRIAN TUNNEL COMPLETED

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), in conjunction with the City of St. George, recently completed the construction of a pedestrian tunnel under Bluff Street between Main Street and the southbound I-15 ramps. This new facility will improve safety, provide additional access options to cross Bluff Street and connect the east and west sides of the Hilton Drive Trail. 

 

PROJECT CELEBRATION EVENT - FRIDAY, SEPT. 23

A project celebration event was held on Friday, Sept. 23.

 

WHAT: UDOT and the City of St. George will host a short program and ribbon-cutting ceremony. 

WHEN: Friday, Sept. 23, at 9 a.m. 

WHERE: Northwest corner of I-15 and Bluff Street at the new pedestrian tunnel. Attendees can park at Commerce Pointe (1333 S Auto Mall Drive) and walk to the pedestrian tunnel. 

 

In addition, the Southern Utah Bicycle Alliance hosted a community bike ride to celebrate improvements to the trail network.
