Construction Update | November 14, 2024

The bridge over I-84 is anticipated to close starting Friday, Nov. 22, 9 p.m. through Saturday, Nov. 23, 6 a.m. due to the bridge pad work. Drivers can detour east via US-89 or west via Riverdale Road.

 

 

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is finishing work on the Adams Avenue bridge. The bridge pads, located underneath the structure, are being replaced to protect the bridge as it expands and contracts with temperature changes.

 

What to Expect 

  • Nighttime lighting
  • Shoulder closures on I-84
  • Noise, dust, and vibrations
  • Construction crews and equipment in the area
  • Full bridge closure from Nov. 15, 9 p.m. to Nov. 16, 6 a.m.

Project Overview

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will be removing and replacing the existing deck of the Adams Avenue bridge over I-84 in Weber County. Additional construction activities include miscellaneous structural improvements and updating the drainage system. This project will enhance safety and preserve the life of the bridge.
