SR-112 and SR-138 Renewed

SR-112 and SR-138 Renewed

Project Information

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) and Tooele County are working together to improve mobility on State Route (S.R.) 138 and S.R. 112 for all users of the transportation system. In May 2021, UDOT began a pavement renewal project on S.R. 138 from Grantsville to S.R. 36. In late June 2021, UDOT began a pavement renewal project on S.R. 112 from S.R. 138 to S.R. 36. These projects will improve safety, extend the life of the roadways, reduce traffic-related noise, and provide a more enjoyable ride for roadway users.

State Route (S.R.) 138

Paving work on S.R. 138 is now complete. Permanent striping and signage installation will continue throughout the coming weeks. Internmittent work is anticipated to occur between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Drivers can expect up to 15-minute delays when traveling through the area.

More information with updates will be forthcoming.

Project work included pavement resurfacing, fixing asphalt soft spots, and removing rumble strips. Pavement resurfacing included removing the top layers of existing roadway and replacing the old pavement layers with new asphalt between Grantsville Main Street and Mills Junction.

State Route (S.R.) 112

Paving work on S.R. 112 is now complete. Permanent striping and signage installation will continue throughout the coming weeks. Internmittent work is anticipated to occur between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Drivers are encouraged to use caution when driving in the area. Drivers should expect up to 15-minute delays when traveling in the area.

Project work included pavement resurfacing between S.R. 138 and S.R. 36 with complete upgrades of the 200 W. and 600 W. intersections. These needed upgrades will extend the life of the pavement, increase accessibility for cyclists and pedestrians, and improve safety in the area.
