This Week's Construction Activities (08/24/22)*
(FINAL UPDATE)
- Asphalt paving operations are complete. Road striping, sign placement, and new pedestrian ramp construction are also complete.
- Finish work and punch list items will take place over the next week, with temporary lane shifts. Traffic control devices will be removed as the work concludes.
Project Overview
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will begin work on SR-292 at Salt Lake Community College, Taylorsville Campus. Work activies will include removing and replacing the existing roadway surface to improve quality and extend the life of the road. Construction has started on pedestrian ramps shown below.
What to Expect
- One-way traffic
- Limited access to crosswalks
- No on-street parking
- Utah Transit Authority (UTA) bus access temporarily relocated or stops closed
- Construction vehicles in area
- Increased noise, dust, and vibration
