400 South | State Street to 1300 East |Salt Lake City | Improved
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is completing a pavement rehabilitation project on 400/500 South (SR-186) from State Street to 1300 East in Salt Lake City. The project also includes upgrading selected pedestrian sidewalk ramps to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
This project was completed on September 30, 2025.

OVERVIEW
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) rehabilitated asphalt pavement on 400 South (SR-186) between State Street and 1300 East in Salt Lake City. Additionally, select pedestrian sidewalk ramps were rebuilt to current Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) standards. The project was completed in Fall 2025.
400 South is a major east-west corridor that connects Salt Lake City with I-15, the University of Utah, Foothill Drive, and other destinations in the valley.
