3900 South | Jordan River to West Temple | Trail

The 3900 South Trail project, a UDOT, Millcreek, and South Salt Lake collaboration, will build a shared-use trail on 3900 South (Jordan River Trail to West Temple). Construction is scheduled for 2026 and 2027.

Overview

Project Overview

Millcreek, South Salt Lake, and the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) are building a trail on 3900 South between the Jordan River and West Temple. The trail will provide a safer, more comfortable space for people walking, biking, and rolling, and will connect to future and existing bike lanes.

Pavement preservation from 700 West to the TRAX line will take place with this project. This section of the road will be resurfaced to improve the driving surface and extend the life of the pavement.

This project is part of the Utah Trail Network, a statewide system connecting Utahns of all ages and abilities to destinations and communities through non-motorized, paved trails. For more details about the Utah Trail Network, or UTN, visit utahtrailnetwork.udot.utah.gov.

3900 South Trail project, a collaboration between the Utah Department of Transportation, Millcreek, and South Salt Lake City, is in the final stages of design with construction anticipated in 2026. This section of trail will be built on the south side of 3900 South between the Jordan River Trail and West Temple.
