Construction Update

Nighttime resurfacing is continuing on 3500 South.

During nighttime hours eastbound and westbound traffic will be shifted to one lane.

  • Sign installation

 

Drivers plan ahead for short delays, use caution and follow posted signage

Access to businesses and residents will be maintained at all times

Project Overview

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will be improving SR 171 (3500 South) from approximately 5600 West to Bangerter Highway. This project includes roadway resurfacing, curb and gutter replacement, and pedestrian ramp reconstruction. Construction is anticipated to start as early as Tuesday, June 6, 2023.*

What to Expect

  • Occasional weekend work
  • Intermittent pedestrian detours
  • Heavy equipment, support vehicles, and crew members in the area
  • Lane shifts and restrictions
  • Noise, dust, vibrations, and nighttime lighting

Nighttime Work Hours: 7 p.m. – 5 a.m.

Workdays: Monday – Saturday
