OVERVIEW

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will rehabilitate asphalt pavement on 3300 South (SR-171) between 700 West and State Street in South Salt Lake. Additionally, select pedestrian sidewalk ramps will be rebuilt to current Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.

3300 South is a major east/west corridor that connects South Salt Lake with various destinations throughout the valley.

ANTICIPATED IMPACTS

The contractor will minimize impacts to traffic by performing a majority of the work during nighttime hours, however, please expect the following impacts near/in the work zone:

  • Construction-related noise
  • Vibration
  • Shifting traffic lanes and lane closures.
  • Traffic delays due to lane restrictions and signal work

We ask motorists to reduce speed and watch for changing traffic patterns, lane restrictions, and workers in the roadway.

BENEFITS

  • Preserve infrastructure by replacing the pavement on this busy corridor.
