July 23, 2026 Update: 

Supplemental Environmental Assessment Available for Review

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) has prepared a Supplemental Environmental Assessment (SEA) to evaluate improving the transportation network in and around the half interchange at Interstate 15 (I-15) and 24th Street in Ogden, Utah. This SEA builds upon the Environmental Assessment (EA) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) that UDOT completed for the area in 2024. 

After UDOT completed the 2024 EA and FONSI, the interchange design concept was revised from a single point urban interchange to a folded diamond. This revision changed the location and scope of several proposed improvements to the local street and active transportation networks, as well as right-of-way acquisition needs.

UDOT is hosting an open-house-format public hearing on August 12, 2026, to share the interchange design concept and solicit feedback on the SEA from the public.   

The SEA is now available for review at the following locations:

• UDOT Central Office: 4501 Constitution Blvd., Taylorsville, UT 84129.
• UDOT Region 1 Office: 166 Southwell St., Ogden, UT 84404.
• Weber County Main Library: 2464 Jefferson Ave., Ogden, UT 84401.

A copy of the SEA will also be available at the public hearing on August 12, 2026.

In-person Public Hearing (open-house format)

UDOT will provide information about the SEA and how to comment on it, and be available to answer questions at an in-person public hearing:

• Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
• Marshall White Community Center, 222 28th St.,Ogden, UT 84401

The public hearing will not include a formal presentation. Members of the public are welcome to attend anytime between 6 and 7:30 p.m., ask questions, and provide input on the SEA. A copy of the SEA will be available for review at the public hearing.

Evaluación Ambiental Suplementaria disponible para revisión

El Departamento de Transporte de Utah (UDOT, por sus siglas en inglés) ha preparado una Evaluación Ambiental Suplementaria (SEA, por sus siglas en inglés) para evaluar mejoras en la red de transporte en y alrededor del medio enlace de la Interestatal 15 (I-15) y la calle 24th Street en Ogden, Utah, y el área de los alrededores. Esta SEA se basa en la Evaluación Ambiental (EA) y el Hallazgo de Impacto No Significativo (FONSI, por sus siglas en inglés) que UDOT completó para el área en 2024.

Después de que UDOT completó la EA y el FONSI de 2024, el concepto de diseño del enlace se revisó, pasando de un enlace urbano de punto único a un enlace en forma de diamante plegado (folded diamond). Esta revisión cambió la ubicación y el alcance de varias mejoras propuestas para las redes de calles locales y transporte activo, así como las necesidades de adquisición de derecho de vía.
