Project Overview

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is widening 1600 North (State Route 241 / SR-241) between 1200 West and State Street in Orem and adding a shared-use path and bike lanes. This project will increase vehicle capacity and enhance safety for people who bike or walk.

The project area contains1600 North between 1200 West and State Street in Orem (PIN:18428).

Final Design Overview

The final design includes noise walls along the alignment, intersection improvements at 400 West, 800 West, and State Street, and the shared driveway location between 800 West and 650 West. (PIN:18428).

Final Design Cross-Section

The final design cross-section diagram, looking east, shows sidewalks, park strips, bike lanes on both sides, two 11-foot traffic lanes in each direction, and a 12-foot center turn lane. There will be five lanes total. The diagram has illustrations of cars, cyclists, and pedestrians (PIN:18428).

Schedule

Work Hours: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Workdays: Monda– Friday 

Weekend work will take place as needed
